Jimmie Wayne Marler, 60

Jimmie Wayne Marler, age 60 of Mountain Home, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at his home. Wayne was born May 29, 1951 in Gassville, Arkansas to Isaac J. and Pearl Marler. He married Velma Plumlee in Mountain Home on September 18, 1976. A special son, a caring brother, a devoted husband, a loving father and a proud grandfather, Wayne believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and served as a Deacon at Westside Missionary Baptist Church. Wayne retired from Baxter Healthcare after 32 years of service.

He is survived by his wife Velma of the home; his parents Isaac J. and Pearl Marler of Mountain Home; sons Greg (Stephanie) Marler and Brad (Sarah) Marler of Mountain Home; grandchildren Isaac C. Marler, Hannah Marler, Kaylee Middleton, Kaden Middleton, and a grandchild who is expected in August; a sister Linda (Dale) Plumlee of Mountain Home; sister-in-laws Lola (Eldon) Williams of Mountain Home, Lois (John) Gill of Cotter, Glenda (Bill) DeVore of Gassville, and Hazel Norell of Mountain Home; and brother-in-laws Gale (Diane) Plumlee of Mountain Home, Dave Plumlee of Cotter, and Bob (JoAnn) Plumlee of Mountain Home. He was preceded in death by a sister Glenda Marler.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Sheets officiating. Burial will be in Kirby Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 23, 2012 from noon to 9:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or Gideons International. Arrangements are under direction of Roller Funeral Home.
