John A. Uelmen
Mountain Home - John A. Uelmen, age 93, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away at his home Friday, March 16, 2018. John was born in on January 2, 1925 Fon du Lac, Wisconsin to John and Anna Uelmen.
He had a passion for woodworking and was a member of the North Arkansas Wood Carvers Club. After serving in World War II John joined the Michigan/Wisconsin pipeline Company and retired to Mountain Home, Arkansas. John loved nothing more than to spend time with his children and grandchildren. John also, served as a member of the Knights of Columbus, the VFW, and the American Legion here in Mountain Home.
He leaves his wife of 69 years Dora and Dog Beauty; children: Johnny (Deb) Uelmen, Betty (Johnny) Young, Vikki Abler, Jeff (Mary Ann) Uelmen; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 A.M Friday, March 23, 2018, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Reverend Norbert Rappold as celebrant. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Please visit our online guestbook at www.rollerfunealhomes.com/mtnhome

Aunt Dora:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family! We will always remember John for all of the wood carving items that he gave to us and left at the pond for everyone to enjoy! He was a special person in all of our lives and will be dearly missed!
