Linda Ward, 74

Linda Lea Lamb Ward, 74, of Calico Rock, Arkansas passed from this life into glory, Friday, September 4, 2015. She was born on June 5, 1941 in Calico Rock, Arkansas to Wruble and Florene Foster Lamb. Linda lived her life to its fullest. She enjoyed getting together with family, laughing and feeding them homemade meals. She was famous for her array of delicious desserts. There was nowhere she would have rather been than in the Lord's house lifting up praises to His name. Linda began serving the Lord at a young age and continued through the years teaching children's church and Sunday school. Linda also exercised her servant's heart with 40+ years of work as an LPN in the Calico Rock Medical Center and the Home Health Agency. She went above and beyond her call of duty, as she would see patients off the clock and even in the middle of the night. The family has heard story after story from her patient's families singing her praises about what wonderful care she gave to their loved ones. She was known for her gentle, caring ways and her Christ-like spirit, which resulted in leading some of her patients to the Lord. She was a ray of sunshine in her community, impacting lives with her positive attitude. She was adored by her family and left a legacy that will forever impact their lives. She was Mom, Meemaw and "their Angel". Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Wruble and Florene Lamb, her husband of 46 years, Glenn Ward, her son, Alan Ward, her great-grandson Jo Jo and her husband Doyle Ashcraft. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Sandi and Garvin Gibbins of Harrison, Arkansas; one son and daughter-in-law: Tim and Stefanie Ward of Beckly, West Virginia; four grandchildren: Cara Woods and husband Justin of Timbo, Arkansas, Kaysi Smothers and husband Ryan of Green Forest, Arkansas, Trevor Gibbins of Harrison, Matthew Ward and Kinsey Ward of Beckley, West Virginia; three brothers: Harold Lamb of Calico Rock, Ray Lamb and wife Geraldine of Mountain Home and Dennis Lamb and wife Diane of Mountain Home; one sister: Willa Lester of Calico Rock; her faithful companion, her Chihuahua Chico; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives, church family and many good friends.
