Martha Louise (Bores) Ramey, 71

Martha Louise (Bores) Ramey, age 71 years, 11 months and 22 days, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2012 at Hospice House.

She was born July 27, 1941 in Norwalk, Ohio to Carl Henry and Theresa Rosina (Fritz) Bores. On August 24, 1963 she married Phillip Ray Ramey in Monroeville, Ohio. They raised their family in Ohio and Colorado.

During her working years, she spent some years as a waitress, then worked as a Nursing Assistant in a nursing home and at Denver St. Anthony's Hospital. She then spent the last 20 working years as a production and Quality Control Technician at the Rocky Mountain Bottle Co., a division of Adolph Coors Co. After retirement, she and Phillip moved to Mountain Home.

She had many friends throughout her life, many were lifelong friends. She loved working in ceramics when younger. Later she loved cooking, gardening, growing flowers and playing cards and dominos. And especially bowling. She was a member of Patchwork Homemakers Extension where she participated in Craft shows and the Baxter County Fair. She loved sewing and decorating, and made a lot of cancer hats and caps for Peitz Cancer House and for many individuals. She was a member of the Apple Blossom Red Hat Society and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a Volunteer at the Mountain Home Christian Clinics for over 10 years where she co-chaired running the kitchen for the feeding of the volunteers on clinic nights.

Her biggest enjoyment after coming to Mountain Home was going to church and attending Bible Study classes. She also helped host many breakfasts and Lunches with her Bible Study group.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip of Mountain Home and by two daughters: Theresa Garner of Northglenn, CO and Sonya Powell of East Troy, WI; one sister, Marilyn Sprankle of Shelby, Ohio; Four grandchildren: Phillip Powell, Natasha Powell and Danielle Powell of East Troy, WI, Spencer Garner of Northglenn, CO; one great grandchild, Dylan of East Troy, WI. She was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers: Michael Bores and Meryl Bores.

Visitation will be from 1 until 2 PM Monday July 22, 2013 at Eastside Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, July 22 at Eastside Baptist Church with Brother Jon Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens.
