Milton Liphart, 81

Milton Liphart 81 of Mountain Home passed away August 3, 2013 at the VA Hospital Hospice unit in Madison, WI.

He farmed most of his life in Illinois and Wisconsin, retiring from The Swiss Colony in 1993 and moved to Mountain Home. He was active doing carpentry, fishing and golf. He was also a member of the Oakland /Promise Land Fire Deptment where he was a first responder and tanker driver for 6 years. He married LaVonne Brinkmeier on March 14, 1953 in Freeport Il, served 2 years in the Army in Korea, and was a member of the VFW of Mountain Home and American Legion of Pearl City, Il.

He is survived by his wife of the home, a daughter Melodie [Charlie] Hawkins, sons Mark [Nancy] Lee[Chelle] of South Wayne, Wi, Matthew [Berni] of Bakersfield Ca and Monte of Browntown, Wi., 23 grandchildren, 36 greatgrandchildren. A beloved dog Babe. He was predeceased by his parents, 1 sister, 1 brother, 4 great grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date at the Community Center on Promise Land Road.
