Minnie Egetta Marion, 86

Minnie Egetta Marion, daughter of the late James Julian and Grace Patterson Julian, was born February 6, 1925, in Portageville, Missouri and passed away in Mountain Home, Arkansas on October 26, 2011, at age of 86 years, 8 months and 20 days.

Mrs. Marion moved to Bloomfield in 1952. In her early life she worked as a bookkeeper, telephone operator, and later worked at Elder Manufacturing for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bloomfield where she was an avid quilter as part of the Helping Hands Organization and had also volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program.

She was first married to Joseph Rolland Lloyd who preceded her in death in 1949. On October 1, 1950 she married Paul Daniel Marion who preceded her in death in 1986.

Surviving are two sons, Joseph Rolland Lloyd Jr. of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Julian Paul Marion and wife, Patty of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one daughter, Melody Ann Horton and husband, Charlie of Diamondhead, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Shawn Lloyd of Dexter, Missouri, Michael Lloyd and wife Charity of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Julie Marion Haney and husband Sam of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Jason Marion and wife Tracey of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and four great grandchildren, Abbie Lloyd of Dexter, Missouri, Hayden Miller of Gassville, Arkansas, Drew Haney of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Maddox Marion of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James Julian & John Julian, and two sisters, Ella Mae Julian and Elsie Marie Julian. Friends may visit on Friday, October 28, 2011, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 29, 2011, at 10:30 AM in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Watkins of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Helping Hands Organization in care of the First Baptist Church of Bloomfield, Missouri, or Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
