Myron "Mike" Meyer, 84

Myron "Mike" Meyer, 84, went home to be with The Lord on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at the Gassville Therapy and Living Center.

Myron was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. He spent two years in the Army after WWII in Japan. He met and married Rose Nalbandian while working at Massey Ferguson in 1949. They were very fruitful during their 63 years of marriage having 5 children, 16 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren so far! Myron had various jobs through the years, the last one at Harris Metals before finding his life's work with the Racine County Sheriff's Dept. in 1961. He served Racine County for over 20 years, starting as a Deputy and retiring in 1984 as a detective. After retirement, Myron and Rose (along with their 15 yr. old daughter, April) moved to Mountain Home, where he spent the rest of his years, enjoying visits from his children and grand children and many different hobbies from bird watching to horticulture to watching old war movies on TCM. He provided well for his family over the years and will be remembered for his dry humor and his love of any type of vehicle and electronic device! He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace (Giese) Truesdell and his wife's parents, Mihran and Norisa Nalbandian.

Surviving are his wife, Rose (Nalbandian) Meyer of Mountain Home; his children and their spouses, Cookie and Kathy Schumacher of Fort Worth, Texas, Susan and Tom Haman of Racine, Wisconsin, Michael and Robyn Meyer of Mtn. Home, Jeanne and Rick Williams of Carrollton, Texas, and April and Kurt Parnell of Norfork. Also his beloved Grandchildren, Natalie (Matt) Martinez of Benbrook, Texas, Nikki (Shane) Fawfaw of Benbrook, Texas, Josh Schumacher of Fort Worth Texas , Autumn Schumacher of Fort Worth, Texas, Alisa(Andrew) Hogard of Racine, Wisconsin, Lauren (Justin) Belflower of Lakewood, Ohio, Jacob(Emily) Haman of Oceanside, California, Jamie (Doug) Hodges of Mtn. Home, Melissa (Ben) D'Atley of Rogersville, Missouri, Corinne (Justin) Hickman of Mtn. Home, Daniel Meyer of Mtn. Home, Jennifer, Adam and Brooke Williams of Carrollton, Texas, and Nathan and Rebecca Parnell of Norfork. His great-grandchildren, Brendan and Madison Martinez, Gabriel Fawfaw, Scarlett Schumacher, Sofia and Marcus Hogard, Jp and Josie Belflower and Alexis and Shawn Watson.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.
