Paul W. Provence of San Bernardino, CA, went to heaven on December 22, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Born July 6, 1939 to Burl and Lillian Provence, Paul grew up in Mountain Home and enlisted in the US Air Force after graduating from Mountain Home High School in 1957. While stationed in Berlin, he met the love of his life, Liv, who he married on December 27, 1962. His death was just five days before their 50th anniversary.

Paul faithfully served his country as an Air Traffic Controller, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. He retired in 1980, and then continued his career with the Federal Aviation Administration and Lockheed Martin, before packing his briefcase in 2007.

A lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys, Paul was also a car enthusiast, who enjoyed NHRA drag racing, traveling, working on home improvement projects and always being there for his family.

He is survived by his wife Liv; two daughters, Jackie Lyon (Doug) and Cheryl Donahue; grandson Jake Donahue, and three sisters, Alice Preis of Godfrey IL, Linda Chapman (Jarroll) of Mountain Home, and Larraine Buresh (Roger) of Gassville, and several nieces and nephews, including locally, Dana Brown (Jake), Chris Buresh (Rachel) and Bryan Buresh (Jennifer).

He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother-in-law William (Bill) Preis.

Services will be held January 4th , 2013 at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, with Military Honors at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. Online tributes can be made at www.bobbittchapel.com
