Raymond J. Ukleja, 93

Raymond J. Ukleja, age 93, of Mt. Prospect, Illinois, formerly of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, at his son's home in Mt. Prospect.

He was born March 19, 1920, in Chicago, Illinois, to Frank Stanley and Bernice Grabowska Ukleja. On September 28, 1946, he married Eleanore T. Lewand in Chicago. He moved to Mountain Home in 1981 from Chicago. Mr. Ukleja was a retired lithographer, a member and usher at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church for 25 years, a World War II U.S. Army Corps veteran, a member of Ozark VFW Post #3246 and the Polish American Social Club. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing the harmonica.

Survivors are: a son: David (Lynn) Ukleja: Mt. Prospect, Illinois; a daughter: Marguerite (Michael) Nowak: Columbus, North Carolina; a sister: Alice Chrobak: Lafayette, California; five grandchildren: Aaron (Shannon) Nowak, Laura (Mike) Hathcock, Danielle (Andy) Wrenn, Janelle (T.J.) Wilkes and Justin (Katie) Ukleja; four great-grandchildren: Charlie Wilkes, Raquel Nowak, Kevin (Ashley) Hathcock, and Matthew Hathcock; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a daughter: Beth Ann Ukleja; and two brothers: Frank and Leonard Ukleja.

A Memorial Mass will be Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Reverend Christopher Okeke as celebrant. Interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home. Visit our online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
