Raymond Lee Barnes, 52

Raymond "Ray" Lee Barnes, 52, a resident of Mountain Home passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at his residence.

He was born May 3, 1962, in Morrilton, Arkansas to the late Marion Clinton and Mary Elizabeth (Weaver) Barnes. Ray served in the National Guard LT Maintenance Company in Mountain Home for six years. He worked for Arkansas State University Mountain Home maintenance department for several years. Ray held a Certificate of Master Gardener from Arkansas State University. He was a collector of many things and loved being outdoors, classic cars and photography. Ray was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include a son, Dusty Barnes of Mountain Home; a daughter, Tasha Barnes of Mountain Home; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Cheryl Barnes of Rydal, Georgia; a sister and brother-in-law, Gay and Eric Betts of Buford; two grandsons, Kaeden and Kobe Dotson, both of Mountain Home and four nieces.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2014, at Conner-Hankins Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

A private memorial service will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Montgomery, Louisiana at a later date.
