Robert Swaters, 71

Robert Swaters, age 71, of Flippin, Arkansas, died Saturday February 25th at the Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born and raised in Montrose, Missouri to Bernard and Magadelene (Bettles) Swaters on April 29, 1940. Bob worked at ARMCO Steel for 33 years in Kansas City as a foreman in the Weld shop before retiring to Flippin, Arkansas in 1993 with his wife, Linda Swaters. There he did what he truly enjoyed, raising cattle. On June 3, 1967 he married Linda (Linck) Swaters. Bob and Linda enjoyed 44 years of marriage before he went to be with the Lord. He lived his life as a testimony of his Catholic faith; Bob was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Survivors include: His wife Linda Swaters of Flippin, Arkansas; his son, Jeffrey Swaters and his wife, Misty, of Boynton Beach, Florida; his daughter, Brenna Macias and her husband, Doug, of Lee's Summit, Missouri; his sisters: Joan Gieselman of Clinton, Missouri; Arlene Holmes of Stilwell, Kansas; and his brother, Jimmy Swaters of Montrose, Missouri; Bob is also survived by five grandsons: Kyle and Drew Swaters, and Cade, Zane and Jace Macias.

Visitation was at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 6:00 -7:30 pm, with the Vigil service beginning at 7:30 pm with Officiant, Deacon Richard Linstad.

Funeral Mass was held at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Mountain Home on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Celebrant was be Rev. Stan Swiderski.

Interment was in Flippin Cemetery, Flippin, Arkansas.

Pallbearers were be Kenny Gieselman, Carl Gieselman, Ed Geiselman, Alan Swaters, Kevin Swaters, and Kevin Linck.

Honorary pallbearers were be Doyle Linck, Gene Kalwei, Kyle Jefferson, Larry Blasdel, Kenneth Jefferson, Terry Ott, Harvey Parnell, and Bill Cunningham.
