Stanley Charles Thomas, 58

Stanley Charles Thomas, 58, a resident of Mountain Home passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the Baxter Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 1, 1956, in West Memphis, Arkansas to Charles Robert and Naomi (Huskisson) Thomas. Stanley served in the 101st Airborne of United States Army from 1974 until 1978. He graduated from Memphis Technical High School in 1974 and from the State Technical Institute in 1980 with an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. On January 19, 1979, Stanley married Anna Kathryn Bain in Memphis, Tennessee. Stanley worked as a mechanical engineer for the Tennessee Valley Authority for 17 years. Stanley and Kathy relocated to Mountain Home in 1997 where he worked in preventative maintenance for Actronics in Flippin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Thomas; father-in-law, Noel E. Bain and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Thomas.

Survivors include his mother, Naomi Thomas of Mountain Home; his wife, Kathy Thomas of Mountain Home; a son, Jason Thomas of Mountain Home; a daughter and her fiancé, Alison Thomas and Steven Anthony Faught of Mountain Home; his mother-in-law, Minnie Bain of Southaven, Mississippi; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Steve and Karen Thomas of Kansas and Duwayne Thomas of Mountain Home; two grandchildren, Eliseia and Truden Faught, both of Mountain Home; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives, friends and co-workers.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014, at the Conner-Hankins Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Thompson officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Veterans of Foreign Ward Ozark Post 3246 and the United States Army Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.
