Wasson Arnold Kent, 87

Wasson Arnold Kent was born December 1, 1924 in Evening Shade, Arkansas and died February 22, 2012 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was married to Maxine Langston on April 24, 1943 in Mountain Home. Mr. Kent lived most of his 87 years in Mountain Home where he worked in construction with Herman Langston, his father-in-law, and later for himself. He changed careers and became a real estate appraiser for First State Building and Loan, where he worked until retirement. After retirement he became a greeter at Wal-Mart. Mr. Kent was an avid coon hunter most of his adult life. He was a longtime member of the Mountain Home First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Maxine; son Terry Kent and wife Donna of Hot Springs, granddaughter Courtney Kent Galster and husband Caleb of North Little Rock; grandson Alexander Kerr Kent of Little Rock; great-grandchildren Skyler Morgan Galster and Elijah Farr Galster; sisters Lillian Johnson of Fayetteville and Iva Jewell Campbell of Cave City.

Visitation will be Friday, February 24, 2012, at Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home from Noon-9:00 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 25, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Mountain Home. Interment will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens.
