Wayne Howard Tetrick, 85

Mr. Wayne Howard Tetrick, age 85, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Twin Lakes Therapy and Living Center in Flippin, Arkansas. He was born March 2, 1929, in Cedar Vale, Kansas to the late Edgar Howard and Viola Russell (Canine) Tetrick. He married Cora Hurst in Wichita, Kansas in 1950.

Mr. Tetrick was a Korean War veteran who served in the Unites States Army as a cook from 1951 to 1953. He was a lifelong truck driver who retired from Ranger Boats after fifteen years of service. He and his wife enjoyed traveling together over the United States and part of Canada after his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Cora (Hurst) Tetrick of Flippin; two sons: Michael Tetrick and his wife, Mary Lou, of Yellville, Arkansas; and Ricky Tetrick and his wife, Kathy, of Mountain Home, Arkansas; a daughter, Pamela McPherson and her husband, Kevin, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Viola Tetrick; a sister, Wanda Coon; and an aunt, (Dee) Celia Canine.

Visitation for will be Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 1:00 to 2:30 pm at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 2:30 pm at Burns Funeral Home with Ron Davenport officiating. Interment will follow at Hurst Cemetery near Flippin, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Grissum, Colt Painter, Jason Tetrick, Jay Raley, Phillip Doshier and Darrell Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Clark, Larry Hurst, Stan Bridgeman, Verl Doshier, and Elmo Hurst.

Memorials may be made to the Hurst Cemetery Fund.
