William "Bill" Chudy, 88

William "Bill" Chudy, age 88, of Mountain Home, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center of Mountain Home. He was born June 9, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois to Stanley and Pearl (Luka) Chudy. He served his country in the United States Army for 24 years, having served during WWII, and the Korean conflict. During his service in WWII, he was present on D-Day. He was a long standing member Mountain Home Elks Lodge #1714, and enjoyed collecting art, especially oil paintings, and also collected coins.

He is survived by his son, Richard Chudy of Mountain Home, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Eugene Chudy.

A Memorial Service with military honors will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Baxter Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Mr. Chudy's name to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
