Margarette S. Maddocks, 76, a resident of Gassville went to be with her Lord Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
She was born May 5, 1938, in Cotter to the late James Robert and Lillie Mae (Hill) Sewell. Margarette was a member of the White River Full Gospel Church. She was preceded in death her parents; three husbands, J.C. Rea, whom she married at the age of 18, Gene Hollis and Laurance Petrie; a brother, Charles A. Sewell and a step-son, Rick L. Maddocks.
Survivors include her husband Paul E. Maddocks of Gassville; two sons John Curtis "Junior" Rea of Herrington, Kansas and Carl Lee Hollis of Cameron, Missouri; a daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Bill Johnson of Gassville; two step-sons and a step-daughter-in-law, Wylan Petrie of Solomon, Kansas and Bob and Christine Maddocks of Mt. Vernon Missouri; three step-daughters and step-sons-in-law, Kay and Dearl Lane of Aurora, Missouri, Brenda and Gene Sewell of Woodbridge, Virginia and Jean and Clyde Hicks of Aurora, Missouri, seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Hestel "Buck" and Jerrie Sewell of Wichita, Kansas, Jim Sewell of Nixa, Missouri, William Sewell of Arizona, Joe and Charlet Sewell of Humansville, Missouri, J.R. Sewell of Webb City, Missouri, Paul Sewell of Aurora, Missouri and Gene Sewell of Woodbridge, Virginia; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Allene and Ed Davis of Cassville, Missouri, Goldie and Larry McGarrah of Siloam Springs and Judy Sewell of Ozark, Missouri; 24 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Faith Full Gospel Church in Aurora, Missouri
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Faith Full Gospel Church with the Reverend Terry Baily and Pastor Rex Mooneyham officiating. Burial will be in Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, Missouri under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
