Lucky D. Thornton, 85

Lucky D. Thornton, age 85 of Norfork, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 in Mountain Home. He was born December 28, 1927 in Hennessey, Oklahoma to George and Ethel (Floyd) Thornton. Mr. Thornton served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. After his discharge from the military, he worked several years for an aviation company in California. He married Lillie Dillinger in Mountain Home on October 18, 1969. Mr. Thornton was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, Mountain Home Masonic Lodge # 225, and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Lucky D. Thornton is survived by his wife Lillie Thornton, a son Mike Thornton of Springfield, Missouri, a daughter and her husband Vicki and Rick Karlovich of Ozark, Missouri, a son and his wife Larry and Debbie Griggs of Norfork, grandchildren Laura, Jeremy, Rachael, Stephen, and Beth, great grandchildren Ryley, Hailey, Torey, Emily, Madelin, Lillie, and Ella. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
