Ezra Glen Stowers, 82
Ezra Glen Stowers, son of the late Fred Stowers and Mable Marchant Stowers, was born September 20, 1931 in Calico Rock, Arkansas. He departed this life June 5, 2014 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 16 days. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War; attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was united in marriage to Juanita Harrison on July 2, 1976 in Kansas City, Missouri. Glen spent his life as a son, brother, nephew, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years, he was a truck driver and warehouse foreman. He retired from U. S. Engineering Company after 29 years of employment.
Glen is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law: Jennifer and Tim Elumbaugh of Mountain Home, Glenda Harris of Kansas City, Missouri, Debbie and Dennis Sniff of Independence, Missouri, and Connie Kenig of Grain Valley, Missouri; two sons and two daughters-in-law: Steven and Michelle Stowers of Springfield, Missouri and Ronnie and Deana Stowers of Mountain Home; one brother: Carrol Stowers of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters: Patsy Hamby of Calico Rock and Belle Simpson and husband O. C. Of Norfork; three grandchildren: Cody Elumbaugh, Ariel Elumbaugh and Emily Harris and a host of other relative and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Juanita Harrison Stowers; and four brothers: Junior Stowers, Bobby Stowers, Jim Stowers and Dennis "Bub" Stowers.
Funeral service will be Monday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will be at Staggs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Visitation will be Sunday, June 8 from 6-8 p.m.
