Cletis Reid Booher, of Pearland, Texas, passed away on Friday, September 25 in Houston. He was born on June 12, 1938 in Crawfordsville, Indiana, to Reid and Juanita Booher who preceded him in death.
He graduated from Darlington (Indiana) High School and Purdue University. Cletis worked at NASA Johnson Space Center for 40 years - 20 years as a Biomedical Engineer and 20 years as a Human Factors Engineer. In 1993 he was inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs, Colorado, for his work with physiological monitoring instrumentation.
He was a charter member of First Presbyterian Church, Pearland and a member of Webster Presbyterian Church at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children: Jeannette and Dwight; sister, Bonnie Rice of New Ross, Indiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at Webster Presbyterian Church, 201 West NASA Parkway, Webster on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 2:00PM with a reception to follow.
