Edwin (Ed) Welch Pugh, of League City, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014, in New Braunfels, Texas. Edwin was born on November 23, 1927 in Caddo Mills, Texas to James R. Pugh and Molly Mills Pugh. Edwin was the Executive FP of League City Bank & Trust from 1965-1978 and President of League City National Bank from 1979-1986. Known to many as Ed or "Poppy", he was a very special friend to all. He was a loving, caring father and grandfather, whose family deeply loved him.

Edwin was preceded in death by his wife Joan Pugh, parents James (Jim) R. Pugh and Molly Mills Pugh, brothers Weldon Pugh and Byron Pugh, sisters Jewel Pugh Wright and Jimmie Pugh Graves.

Edwin is survived by his sister Rogene Pugh Montgomery of Victoria, Texas, children Ann Pugh Sullivan and husband Charlie of Canyon Lake, Texas, Pm Pugh Schwarz of Austin, Texas, and Joe Pugh and wife Susan of League City, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren Cristin Sullivan, Kevin Sullivan, Meagan Schwarz, Melissa Schwarz, Matthew Schwarz, Lindsey Pugh, Tanner Pugh, and great-grandchild Landry Sullivan.

A celebration of Edwin's life will be held on October 18, 2014 at 10:30 am at League City United Methodist Church, 1411 W. Main Street, League City, Texas 77573. Following the service a gathering with the family will be held in the church Reception Hall.
