Patricia "Sissy" Gail Pearce Twining, 62, passed away on February 15, 2015 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Since 1978, she's been a long time resident of Houston's Clear Lake City area. Preceded in death by her husband, James Twining, M.D. of Houston; her parents: Geraldine and James David Pearce and her stepfather, Robert Nottingham of Arkansas.
Sissy graduated Lewisville High in Arkansas in 1970, and attended Henderson State University until 1973. Afterward, she moved to Harlingen, Texas, with her first husband Jim Harlow. In 1976 she graduated from the University of Texas-Pan American with a degree in business administration. A couple of days after her final exam at UTPA, she gave birth to her first son, Andrew Harlow. She later married James Twining, MD in 1981 and inherited three more sons: Jeff, Steve and Donald and gave birth to Phillip in 1983.
She is survived by: Andrew and wife Annie, Phillip and wife Jessie, Jeffrey, Donald and wife Danette;, Steve and wife Lauren. She lives on through her ten wonderful grandchildren: Molly, Henry, Lucy, Otis, Ethan, Hannah, Jessica, Garret, Jake and Travis. She is also survived by her two brothers, David and his wife Ann Pearce, and Mickey and his wife Robin Nottingham and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sissy fought a long tenacious battle with a rare cancer since 1994.
The first memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday February 19, 2015 at St. Phillips Episcopal Church (516 McLish Avenue, SW Ardmore, OK)
The second service will be in Houston: Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM. at St.Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church (18300 Upper Bay Road, Houston, TX 77058)
