passed away July 3, 2013 in Houston, TX. He was born in Opelousas, LA on August 18, 1937 and was a long time resident of the Clear Lake area. Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Mary Rose Ledoux. After growing up in Opelousas, he attended and graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. After graduation, Paul proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years. While he was serving our country and stationed in Philadelphia, PA, he met and married Mary Fossati from Hershey, PA. He spent the next 46 years living in Clear Lake City. He worked with NASA starting with the Apollo space program and continuing his work with the Apollo-Soyuz, Skylab, the Space Shuttle, the International Space Station and Orion programs as a Materials Engineer. Although Paul worked for several space contractors at NASA, he spent the majority of his career with McDonnell Douglas and Boeing. At the time of his death, he was employed by Cimarron. Paul was also passionately involved as an engineering mentor through the Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program (SATOP) helping entrepreneurs develop many products used in all of our lives today. After Mary passed away in 1998, Paul married Joyce Mason in 2000. Joyce was at his side when he passed from this life. Paul is survived by his wife of 13 years, Joyce Mason Ledoux, his brothers Will Ledoux and wife Gwen, and Robert Ledoux and wife Maxine, his son David Ledoux and wife Karen, his daughter Diane Hickman and husband Gary, his son Thomas Ledoux, his grandchildren Ryan Hickman, Steven Hickman, Kevin Hickman, Christopher Ledoux, and Elizabeth Ledoux, his step-daughter Jennifer Mason and husband Sean, his step-son Chris Mason and wife Erica, 5 nieces and nephews and 5 step-grandchildren. Friends of Paul Ledoux are invited to a visitation on Tuesday July 16 from 5:00 - 8:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd. Webster, TX 77598. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday July 17 at 10:00am at St Paul The Apostle Catholic Church, 18223 Point Lookout Dr, Nassau Bay, TX 77058. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at Houston National Cemetery In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Paul to the .
