Pearl Louise Newton, known as Aunt Tudie to her many adoring nieces and nephews, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at home in Taylor Lake Village, TX. Pearl was the heart and soul of her family and personal inspiration to many. "There will never be another Tudie." Pearl was born in Tuttle, OK June 24, 1919, one of 12 children born to Rev. Charles Edgar and Beulah Mitchell Smith. She grew up in the Tuttle/Oklahoma City area and attended school in Tuttle. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband William Otho Reeves and her second husband William K. Newton, son William Otho Reeves II, four brothers Charlie, Kenneth, Paul and Bill and seven sisters, Juanita, Geneva, Margarette, Beulah, Lola, Jackie and Evelyn. Survivors include two sons, Micheal Aaron Reeves and wife Katherine of Taylor Lake Village, TX, and Ronald Brent Reeves and wife Lynette of Arlington, TX; her six grandchildren, Kimberly Lynn Reeves, Kristin Adams and husband Dan, William Otho Reeves III, Lori Reeves, Alissa Reeves, Lon Davis and husband Chad; five great grandchildren, Gabrielle Elliott, Morgan Adams, Raleigh Adams, Jillian Davis and Elijah Davis; many nieces and nephews; and friends throughout her life. The family would like to thank the wonderful Hospice Care Team of Texas City, TX and Gwen and Ken Smith who provided daily care for Pearl. Graveside services will be at 3 pm on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Pearl's memory to the UHCL Kathy and Mike Reeves President's Endowment Fund, 2700 Bay Area Blvd, Houston, TX 77058. This larger than life, 4 ft 11in, lady will be missed by many whose lives here on Earth were enriched by hers.
