Tim Morris passed away peacefully on November 23, 2011, at his home in Bellingham, Washington, after a very brief bout with an aggressive cancer. He was surrounded by his partner, Maryann Schmitt of Bellingham, his parents, Dick and LeeAnn Morris of Taylor Lake Village, Texas, and his sister, Ceilidh and nephew Eli of Ashland, Wisconsin. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Edna Arnold of League City, Texas, and Natalie Morris of Denver, Colorado, and beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tim was born on May 30, 1974 in Clear Lake. He graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1992 and from Baylor University in 1996. At the time of his death, Tim was the financial coordinator for Opportunity Council in Bellingham, a community action agency serving low income people, work in which he took great joy and pride. Tim loved outdoor adventure - biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing -- and was also an avid reader and gardener.
A memorial service was held on December 12 at Clear Lake Presbyterian Church in Clear Lake.
