Victor Loyce Kearns passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Vic was born November 9, 1930 to Victor L. Kearns, Sr. and Gladys Owen Kearns in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Hickman High School, Columbia, Missouri before enlisting in the United States Air Force, from which he retired after 22 years of service. Vic received numerous medals and awards.

Vic was a co-founder and co-owner of International Catalyst, Inc., a service company with multiple locations in the United States and Latin America. He was a member of the American Legion 490 where he enjoyed spending time visiting with other veterans. He was a former member of the Houston Symphony Bay Area and its MOB. Vic loved playing golf everywhere he traveled and was a member of Bay Oaks Old Boys (BOOBs). Vic was also a great gourmet cook and would always have leftovers for dinner guests to take home.

Vic is preceded in death by his Parents, sister Kay and brother Russ and is survived by his wife, best friend and care giver Kathleen Tipton Atkinson Kearns, three sons, Kevin Kearns, Kent Kearns and Robert Kearns, two daughters, Karen Wolf and Kellie Maus (Sterling) of Montana; a stepson Ray Atkinson and a stepdaughter Ann Atkinson Thames (Mike) of Louisiana, eighteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Dr. Thuy Trinh and the staff and nurses at Houston Hospice for their loving care.

A visitation and Military Honors memorial service is planned at two o'clock on Saturday the 25th of June, 2016 at Clear Lake Baptist Church at the corner of El Dorado and Space Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Clear Lake Baptist Church food bank or to .
