Beatrice Kraynak

KRAYNAK, BEATRICE M. Beatrice M. Kraynak, age 87 years, died peacefully with all her daughters at her bedside Saturday, June 22, 2013. She was born to Clarence and Muriel (Thompson) Champagne on May 28, 1926 in Huron County, MI. Bea was a graduate of Bay City Business College and a bookkeeper at Monitor Sugar. She was an avid bowler into her 80's, serving as team captain and secretary for many years, and also a Girl Scout leader. Bea was a member of St. Norbert Parish, Munger and its Altar Society. On November 29, 1947 at St. Felix Church (Pinnebog, MI) she was united in marriage to Steven P. Kraynak, and they shared their lives together for over 38 years until his death on March 19, 1986. Surviving family members include four daughters, Beatrice Gobeski, Janet (Michael) Pelkey, Donna (O.J.) Cunningham, and Diane Kraynak; eight grandchildren, Steven Sexton, Jason Roush, Kirsten Gobeski, Jennifer Hamilton, Christopher Cunningham, Jessica Reynolds, Ellen Kietzman, and Erik Frost; ten great grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, Jim (Bess) Champagne, Bob Champagne, Bill (Dot) Champagne, and Jean McBride; along with nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Michelle Pelkey. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 10:00 AM in St. Norbert Church, 126 W. Munger Road, Munger. Bea will lie in state in church Wednesday after 9:00 AM. Rev. Joseph Schabel will preside and Rite of Committal will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Bay County Veterans Council or other charity of the donor's choice.
