David Dale Farrell, Sr., 76, of Chester, TX, lost his fight to cancer on Friday, March 14, 2014 at home with his family by his side. He was born on July 26, 1937 to Loree & Freeman Farrell, Jr., in Corsicana, TX. David attended Corsicana schools where he met and married the love of his life and best friend Jan Nell Farish. He and his beloved wife have been married for 55 years. David attended Texas A&M University and worked in the banking industry most of his life. David was a true outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He was a long-standing member of the Woodville United Methodist Church in Woodville, TX and a member of the Rotary Club of Woodville, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his son David Dale Farrell, Jr. He is survived by his wife Jan Farish Farrell of Chester, TX, oldest daughter, Cynthia Farrell Tribble and husband Ricky of Winnie, TX and youngest daughter Rebecca Farrell of Wimberley, TX. His grandsons, Brandon Tribble and wife Rendi, of Pineland, TX, Christopher Tribble of Winnie, TX and his great-grandson Eli Michael Tribble of Winnie, TX. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17th from 5:00 - 8:00pm at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville, TX. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 19th at 11:00 am at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana, TX with his grandson, Brandon Tribble officiating.

So sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of hanging out at the Farrell's as a teenager. David & Jan always made you feel welcome in their home. He will be missed.
