Gilcrease, Thomas Ray  
1941 - 2014 Thomas Ray Gilcrease, 73, of Orange, passed away on November 21, 2014 at his home in Orange. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A final viewing will be at 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 24, 2014 with funeral services to follow at 10:00 a.m.at North Orange Baptist in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Scott McIntosh, Senior Pastor of North Orange Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Nibletts Bluff Cemetery in Vinton, Louisiana. Born in Zwolle, Louisiana on March 12, 1941, he was the son of Edward Gilcrease and Hazel Adams Gilcrease. Tom made a career working for the Texas Department of Correction, The Jefferson County Sherriff's Department, Unocal and Mobil Chemical. He was an active member of North Orange Baptist Church. He loved gardening, canning, camping, and being in the outdoors. He also enjoyed helping his wife make blue jean quilts and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Timothy Wade Gilcrease. He is survived by his wife Dolores Gilcrease of Orange; son, Terry Ray Gilcrease of Nederland; daughters, Rene` Robinson and husband, Randall of Pearland, Tamara (Tammy) Norris and husband Wesley of Vidor, and Tracey Gilcrease Williford and husband Jerry of Jasper; brother, David Smith Gilcrease of Huntsville; eleven grandchildren and their spouses and five great grandchildren In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Orange Baptist Church, 4775 16th Street, Orange, Texas 77632.

Gaudet, Octovene Matthews  
1928 - 2014 Octovene Shorty Matthews Gaudet, 86, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. She was born on February 9, 1928, to Arbell Wilkinson and Clint Matthews, in Wiergate, and had been a longtime residence of the area. She lost her parents at age 5 and raised by her aunt and uncle, Stella and Johnny Wilkinson, of Newton. Octovene graduated from Nederland High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Octovene was loved by all who knew her, possessed a wonderful spirit, and a love for life. Octovene is survived by her sons, Larry Anthony Gaudet and his wife, Belinda, of Southlake and Wayne Gaudet and his wife, Elda, of Beaumont; sisters, Betty Norris of Port Neches; Christine Barber and her husband, R.A., of Port Arthur; and Irene Glover and her husband, Charles, of Newton; grandchildren, Scott Gaudet and his wife, Jennifer; Shawn Gaudet and his wife, Erin; Jessica McColley; and Dustin Gaudet; great-grandchildren; Jordan Gaudet, Gabriel Gaudet, Garrett McColley, Avery Gaudet, Connor Gaudet, Reese Gaudet, Katelyn Gaudet, and Everleigh Gaudet. She is preceded in death by her birth parents, Arbell and Clint Matthews; orphaned and raised by aunt and uncle, Stella and Johnny Wilkinson; husband, Shirley Anthony Gaudet; and sister, Maxine Mitchell. A Rosary for Mrs. Gaudet will be recited at 4:00 p.m., with a gathering to follow until 6:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, November 23, 2014, at Broussard's, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica School, 850 Forsythe, Beaumont, Texas 77701. Gill, Lee Clifton "L.C."  
1936 - 2014 L.C. Gill, 78, of Vidor died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. A native of Slagle, LA, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. L.C. worked with the Vidor Transportation Department for 33 years and was the Transportation Director. He was a charter member of Pine Forest Masonic Lodge #1420 and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star chapter #914 in Vidor. He was a 2 time past master and a past secretary for the masonic lodge. L.C. was a charter member of the Texas and the Southeast Texas Pupil Transportation. He served his country in the US Marines and was a member of First Baptist Church in Vidor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 23, 2014 at First Baptist Church with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. A visitaion for family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Saturday, November 22, 2014 at First Baptist Church. L.C. is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary Gill, daughters Kathy Gill Mathews and her husband Pete of Beaumont, TX, Sheila Jennings and her husband H.L. of Vidor, TX, son Michael Eugene Gill and his wife Deena of Vidor, TX, sisters Ivy Jones, Audie Vee Marshall, and Allie Vee Welch of all Vidor, TX, brothers J.D. Gill of Call, TX, and Jim Gill of Crosby, TX, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Ruben and Ethel Gill and granddaughter April Jennings. There are no words to truly describe his love for family, friends and the adventures of the great outdoors.

Gordon, William Bill Patrick - Bridge City  
1953 - 2014 William Bill Patrick Gordon, 61, of Bridge City, Texas passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas-Orange. He was born on October 20, 1953 to Wanda Fletcher Gordon and Earl Daniel Gordon. He was born in Wichita Falls, TX, but was raised in Port Arthur where he attended and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1972. Bill was an All American football player, attended the University of Texas from 1972-1976, and became captain of the University of Texas Varsity Football Team in 1976. He played in several Bowl games, was a part of the Southeast Champion team, and continued to be an avid fan and supporter. Above all he was a beloved husband, father, brother, and Paw Paw, and cherished the time he had with his family. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Jeanelle McGraw. He is survived by his wife, Shawn Gordon of Bridge City, TX; son, Brett Gordon of Lumberton, TX; daughters, Asenatha Dawn Gordon of Warren, TX, Heather Ripley of Nederland, TX, Micki Hernandez of Bridge City, TX; brothers, Durwin Gordon of Port Arthur, TX, Stewart Gordon of Nederland, TX; sister, Danna Lynn Gordon of Port Arthur, TX; eight grandchildren, Austin Gordon, Brynn Ripley, William James, Ian Ripley, Jayden Dunham, Danica Hernandez, Delani Hernandez and Dawson Gordon. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 11-1 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.
