Lindner, August  
1919 - 2015 August C. (Augie) Lindner, Jr. was born in Beaumont on June 16, 1919, to August Culbertson Lindner, Sr. and Ora Marie Gallier Lindner. He died Tuesday, April 28, 2015, in Beaumont at the age of 95. He was a graduate of Beaumont High School and the University of Texas, and worked as a chemist for 31 years. Augie was a WWII Air Force veteran. He was a Combat Cameraman 6th Combat Camera Unit with the 13th Air Force from Guadalcanal to the Philippines and he flew combat missions with 13th Air Force and US Navy. He received the Air Medal and retired from the Air Force with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His retirement years were spent at Toledo Bend Lake. Augie was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Orange; Ham Radio Operator K5QET; American Radio Relay League (ARRL); Planetary Society; Retired Officers Association; Ark-La-Tex Chapter - Barksdale AFB; Pelican Club - Fort Polk; Smithsonian Associates; National Geographic Society; International Combat Camera Association. Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A graveside service will follow, via escorted procession, at 11:00 a.m. at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange, with Kaye Sims officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Augie's grandchildren: Tim Trapp, David Lindner, August C. Lindner IV, Rob Lindner, Walker Pickering, Greg Lindner, Stephen Lindner, Ryan Pickering and Joshua Lindner. Augie was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Merry'O Mifflin Lindner; parents; son, August C. (Bud) Lindner III; brother, Royce Lindner and great granddaughter, Taylor Ashton Lindner. He is survived by his son, William D. (Bill) Lindner and wife, Vonna, of Corpus Christi and son, Robert C. (Bob) Lindner and wife, Lori, of Orange; grandchildren; and great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Andrew, Brayden, Peyton, Jasmine and Ella.

Lognion, Mark  
1965-2015 Memorial services for Mark Wayne Lognion, Sr., 50, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church Lufkin Youth and Worship Center with Brother Steve Killam officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Mark was born January 1, 1965 in Beaumont, Texas to Leon and Annette (O'Kelley) Lognion, and died Saturday, April 25, 2015 living his life to the fullest in Austin. Mark had resided in Lufkin for 27 years. He owned and operated Mr. Honey-Do Lawn Care & Tree Service for 16 years. Mark loved being with his family. He enjoyed working out, shooting guns, playing pool, and taking on new challenges. He was very active in his church, First United Methodist Church Lufkin. He was a man after God's heart, eager to serve and a friend and father figure to all. Survivors include the love of his life and best friend, Debbie Lognion; son, Mark Lognion, Jr.; daughters, Reagan Lognion and Lauren Lognion and son-in-love Caleb Stacy, all of Lufkin; mother, Annette Lognion; mother and father in love, Dolores and John Bares; brothers and sister-in-law, Perry Lognion, Pierre and Sheila Lognion; sister, Dixie Sorensen; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Kristen Bares, John Bares II; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
