Johnson, Hattie Mae - Round Rock  
1926 - 2015 Hattie Mae Johnson, 88, of Beaumont, Texas departed this life on Sunday, August 23, 2015 in Round Rock, Texas. She was born on September 16, 1926, in Melville, Louisiana. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Saints Temple COGIC 10410 Dusty Lane. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00am to 11:00am. Entombment will be in Live Oak Memorial Park, under the direction of Proctor's Mortuary. To cherish her memories she leaves three daughters Daisy Bowman of Beaumont, Texas, Novetta Washington of Odessa, Texas and Carla Nweke (Arthur) of Round Rock, Texas, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and a host of many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

Jones, Doris M.  
1930 - 2015 Doris M. Mama Jones, 84, of Beaumont, died Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beaumont. She was born on December 6, 1930, to Nancy Luticia Watson and Melvin Henry Williams, in Hemphill, Texas. Mama Jones loved her family and country life. She was a simple woman with a life rich in love, faith, and most of all family. Survivors include her sons, Raymond Jones and his wife, Delores, of Lumberton; Dale Jones and his wife, Grace, of Beaumont; and Sammy Jones of Beaumont; one brother, Terrell Williams and his wife, Connie, of Auburn, California; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty years, Lester Raymond Jones and two sisters, Patsy Williams and Alice Adams. A gathering of Mrs. Jones' family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Fannett, 17019 Highway 124, Fannett. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Fannett, under the direction of Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Jones, Kathy Wallace  
1962 - 2015 Kathy Jones, 53, of Dayton, died Saturday, August 22, 2015. She was born on June 10, 1962, to Pauline Sarah Towles and Aquino Wallace, in Chicago, Illinois. Kathy enjoyed watching movies, reading books, and visiting with her family. She was strong, loving, and caring. Survivors include her children, Joshua Love and his wife, Anna, of Hitchcock; Jonathon Love and his wife, Lanissa, of Texas City; Charles Keneson and his wife, Violeta, of Lumberton; and Scottie Keneson of Fannett; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sisters, Angee Wallace and Melinda Wallace, both of Pikeville, Kentucky; and brothers, Anquino Wallace, Jr. of Almagordo, New Mexico and Daniel Wallace of Williamson, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Melinda Wallace; and brother-in-law, Jesus Flores. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Timothy Joe T.J. Love; one sister, Teresa Flores; and one brother, Thomas John T.J. Wallace. A memorial service for Mrs. Jones will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard's Crematorium. Jordan, Gerald L. "Roy" - Beaumont  
1945 - 2015 Gerald L. Roy Jordan, 70, of LaBelle, died Monday, August 24, 2015 at Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation, Beaumont. He was born on May 16, 1945, in Port Arthur, to Gertie Etta Smith Jordan and Jesse Watson Jordan, and was a lifelong resident of the area. Roy was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1967. He was also a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mastor Mason and a member of B.F. Quicksall Lodge #1370 A.F. & A.M. in Beaumont. Roy worked for Goodyear for many years before his retirement. Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Jordan Duncan and her husband, David C. Duncan; sisters, Lillian Mueller, Donna RoQuemore, Frankie Johnson, Jeanette Sterling, and Lenoire West; brother, Bill Jordan; grandchildren, David Duncan, Jr., Justin Duncan, Alexandra Duncan, and Danielle Duncan; and great-grandchildren, David Duncan, III, and Harper Duncan. Roy is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, John Jordan. The family would like to thank the staff of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas and Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation for taking such great care of Roy. Your kindness is greatly appreciated. A gathering of Mr. Jordan's family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, August 30, 2015, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Kahla, Dr. John W.  
1946-2015 Dr. John W. Kahla, 68, of Jasper, Texas passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at his home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at The Jasper County Cowboy Church in Jasper with interment to follow at Mashaw Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The Event Center on Highway 190 West in Jasper. Dr. John Kahla was born on October 15, 1946, in Galveston, Texas to Joe H. and Anna C. Kahla, of Port Bolivar, Texas. He married Lee Ellen Walker on August 3, 1968 in Port Bolivar, Texas. He was an August 1970 graduate of Texas A&M University from the College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, he moved to Jasper, Texas the following day and opened his veterinary practice on Houston Street under the Tavern Oak. In 1974, he relocated Jasper Animal Hospital to Highway 63W, where he continued to practice for 35 years. After three years of retirement and honey-do's, Doc opened Beech Grove Veterinary Services. He was a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, Jasper County Jr. Livestock Association, where he served as President for four years, Texas High School Rodeo Association for 12 years, served as President of Region V THSRA for 4 years and on the State Board of Directors for 6 years, Board of Directors for the Independent Cattlemen's Association for 6 years, American Brahman Breeders Association, a 30 year member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Texas Quarter Horse Association, Louisiana Quarter Horse Association, a recipient of the Galveston County 4H Gold Star Award, Honorary FFA Member of the Jasper County Chapter, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jasper, as well as The Jasper County Cowboy Church. Dr. Kahla is preceded in death by his mother Anna C. Kahla, brother Glenn Ray Kahla, and several good horses and dogs. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Lee Ellen Kahla; father Joe H. Kahla & wife Shirley; sister JoAnn Stanley & husband Glen; children Melissa Raley & husband Ryan, Charlotte Odom & husband Cody, Joe Glenn Kahla & wife Karen, and Jodi Morian & husband Bill; grandchildren Billy Morian III, Matt Morian, Cooper Raley, Marci Raley, Jake Kahla, Wyatt Odom, Jack Kahla, Sydni Cain, and Harley Odom; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a huge extended family. 1944 - 2015 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Diana Bolen Lee on August 27, 2015 at 3:37PM. Born as Diana M. Bolen, Diana was born in Lake Charles, LA on July 11, 1944 to Clyde W. Bolen and Edith Bolen (Leach), but spent the majority of her life in Texas. She was a force of nature, holding many positions of employment throughout her life, sometimes as a single mother working two or three jobs at once. Diana is preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Richard Bolen. Malik, Louise Crow - Beaumont  
1924 - 2015 Louise Crow Malik, 90, of Galveston, died Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Bayou Pines Care Center, LaMarque. She was born on December 24, 1924, in Beaumont, to Mary Hope Fullbright Crow and Raymond Dee Crow. Louise attended Beaumont High School, where she graduated in 1942. In her senior year, she won a state competition as a talented pianist. She loved to play classical music. Louise completed one year at Lamar University & played the piano for the men's choir there. She was also a member of the DAR for 50 years. Survivors include her sons, Frank G. Malik, Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Hamilton, Montana; and John W. Malik and his wife, Karen, of Nassau Bay; grandchildren, Jason H. Malik and his wife, Stacy; Shannon LaBauve and his wife, Jennifer; Tanya Hudkins and her husband, Mike; and Mary Busack and her husband, Randy; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Louise is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Frank Gustov Malik, Sr.; one sister; and two brothers. A gathering of Mrs. Malik's family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Mansfield Sr., Gary E. "Snoopy"  
1972 - 2015 Gary Snoopy E. Mansfield, Sr. 43, of Beaumont, TX passed away at Baptist Hospital on Sunday, August 23, 2015. He was native of Beaumont and a 1990 graduate of Central High School in Beaumont. He worked as truck driver for Service Transport Company in Nederland, TX. Snoopy leaves memories to his wife, Constance Mansfield; parents, Gwendolyn R. and Fred Mansfield, III; children, Gary E. Mansfield, Jr., Cedonique Mansfield and Ky'era Mansfield; siblings, Shannon Mansfield and Gigette Mansfield; and a loving host of family and friends. On Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Borden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church the visitation will be at 10 a.m. with the Celebration of Life services at 11 a.m. Until the Trumpet Sounds.............Gary will take his earthly rest at Magnolia Cemetery.
