Carlos Dale Gibson went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 5, 2012, in Hull, Texas. He was born on December 23, 1932, in Starks, Louisiana, and was the son of William O. Bill Sr. and Martha Gibson. After serving his country in the United States Navy
during the Korean conflict
, Dale met and married the love of his life, Bonnie Sue Chiasson of High Island, Texas. As a young minister, his passion was home missions. Dale went on to pastor several United Pentecostal churches in the Texas and Louisiana districts. He loved music and was a strong tenor, singing Gods praises for many years. His passion for people and undying commitment to being Gods servant will always be a legacy to his family. Pawpaw Dale was a devoted family man that adored his children and grandchildren unconditionally. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Sue Gibson; twin sister, Gail Crenshaw of Starks, Louisiana; mother-in-law, Elaine Monteau of Daisetta, Texas; children, Shanoe Dillard of Sour Lake, Texas; Kelli Rawlinson of Katy, Texas; William Bill Gibson and wife, Elise of Mont Belvieu, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua Whitaker and wife, Alicia of Bridge City, Texas; Tristen Garrett of Sour Lake, Texas; Doss Rusty and Kendra Dillard of Sour Lake, Texas; Cameron Rawlinson of Katy, Texas; Jordan and Garrett Gibson of Mont Belvieu, Texas; Six great grand children; and numerous treasured and loved nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Dale is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Polly Ernst, Frances Warren, and Colleen Doyle; father-in-laws, Orvy Chiasson and Cecil Buck Monteau; step-mother, Hazel Gibson. A gathering of Rev. Gibson's family and friends was held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8 2012, at The Apostolic Church of Beaumont, 3333 Eastex Fwy, Beaumont Texas 77706. His funeral service will be today Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at The Apostolic Church of Beaumont. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Stowell Texas. Joshua Whitaker, Rusty Dillard, Cameron Rawlinson, Thomas Derrick, Hank Crenshaw, and Sam Parker will serve as pallbearers.
