Charles A. Ridenour

Charles A. Ridenour, 91, of Beaumont, Texas, died Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Calder Woods, Beaumont, Texas. He was born on August 30, 1921, in Galveston, Texas, to Willie Mae Lauderdale Ridenour and Claude Albern Ridenour. Charles received his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University, Class of 1943 and retired from Mobil Oil after thirty-nine years. Survivors include his daughters, Elizabeth R. Edwards and her husband, Kenneth, of Plano, Texas and Mary Katherine Ridenour and her partner, Clara Clement, of Pierre Part, Louisiana; grandchildren, Eric A. Edwards and his wife, hannah draper, of Washington, D.C.; Jennifer Broussard and her husband, Kevin, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Johnathan Clement and his wife, Rebecca, of Magnolia, Texas; and Stephanie Clement and her husband, Jason Ramirez, of St. Amant, Louisiana; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of almost fifty years, Mary Ann Ridenour; and his parents, Willie Mae and Claude Ridenour. A gathering of Mr. Ridenour's family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2013, at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 1350 North 23rd Street, Beaumont, Texas. His graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Pedigo Cemetery, in Town Bluff, Texas, under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont, Texas.
