Faye Primrose Berry Funeral services for Faye Primrose Berry, 82, of Lumberton, Texas will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 28, 2013, at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 28, from 10:00 -11:00 A.M. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home. Faye died October 25, 2013, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Tx. A native of Sabine County and a long time Jasper resident, she was a graduate of Hemphill High School. She retired after working for many years as a Retail Sales Clerk and then she became her families full time Angel care giver. A talented painting artist, she also had a passion for singing and song writing. In 1973, Faye was the first local person to sing in the Jasper Lions Club Benefit Rodeo. A patriot, she wrote some very impressive patriotic songs after 911. Faye is survived by daughter Kathie Cunningham of Lumberton, Tx., brother Bill Primrose of Lake Jackson, Tx. sisters Dorothy Istre and Fran Carder of Lumberton, Tx, Shirley Wilson and husband Paul of Beaumont, Tx., Dixie Cowart and husband Clarence of Lumberton, Tx., Mary Jane Beard and husband James of Lumberton, Tx. Pansy Johnson of Lumberton,Tx.; grandchildren Louis Berry, Melissa Hopson Glover, Shawn Berry, and Crystal Mann Taylor. She is also survived by 12 great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Leavie Primrose, two brothers-Odis and Jack Primrose, and one sister Lilly Carr. Memorials may be made to the .
