Floy Mae Lilley

Floy Mae Lilley, 97, of Woodville, passed away, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Woodville Health & Rehab Center in Woodville, Texas. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Woodville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home with burial in Campground Cemetery. Officiating will be Brother Grady Arnold. Serving as pallbearers are Greg Thompson, Wayne Cruse, Jerry Bumstead, Larry Thomson, II, Frank Boykin and Ricky Collins. Honorary pallbearers are a very special precious grandson, Joe D. Thompson, Jr. and a beloved nephew, Jake Lindsey. Floy was born December 15, 1915 to David Alexander & Lura Elizabeth Herrington Shaw in Saratoga, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Tyler County and had worked in a service capacity to assist the elderly during her later working years. She had been a member of The First Christian Church for more than 40 years. She was an excellent seamstress, cook, gardener and loved taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lilley; daughter, Nell Eva Thompson, and grandson, Randall Bumstead. She is survived by her daughters, Mae Lilley Thomson of Missouri City, Joyce Jefferson & Faye Upchurch both of Woodville; grandchildren, Joe D. Thompson, Jr. & wife, Cathy of Houston, Melanie Jamison & husband, John of Austin, Greg Thompson & wife, Terry of Winona, Cherri Thompson of Hutto, Terri Thompson Lilley of Idaho, Larry Thomson, II & wife, Becky of Lake Jackson, Becky Tirey & husband, Frank of Houston, Wayne Cruse & wife, Lynnette of Woodville, Karen Collins & husband, Ricky of Woodville, Jerry Bumstead & wife, Terry of Woodville, and Angela & Frank Boykin of College Station; 25 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; a very special friend & roommate, Christine Lindberg and special friend, Pat Bryant.
