Harold Joseph Revia

Harold Joseph Revia, 96, of Kountze, died Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on August 10, 1917, in Beaumont, to Amy Belle Gildard Revia and Louis Lafitte Revia, and had been a longtime resident of Kountze. Harold was a United States Army veteran having served in World War II and was a retired painter with H.G. Nichols Homebuilders. Survivors include his wife, Lela Revia: children, Carolyn Smith and her husband Don, of Kountze and John Reynolds of Warren; brother, G.A. Buck Revia of Vidor; sisters, Norma LeBlanc of Vidor and Cora Midge Eason of Batson; five grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. Harold is preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Soileau; daughter- in-law, April Reynolds; and grandson, Brad Smith. A gathering of Mr. Revia's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2013, at Broussard's, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Broussard's, with interment to follow at Holland Cemetery, Kountze.
