Dr. Jack Howell Williamson

Dr. Jack Howell Williamson completed his earthly journey and began his new life on October 29, 2012 at age 87. Jack was born in Port Arthur, Texas January 20, 1925 to Willie and Lucille Williamson. He also resided in Roganville, Texas and later in life in, Austin, Texas and Spring Branch, Texas. After graduating high school Jack entered A & M University but soon left in 1943 to serve in the United States Army during WWII. Returning to A & M after his service he earned his degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1950. He was a practicing veterinarian for 42 years with most of his career spent at the Williamson Animal Clinic in Beaumont, Texas. He was a very gifted and talented veterinarian with compassion beyond compare. Jack is survived by his children Sherry Smith and her husband Charles of Austin, Texas, David Williamson and his wife Lucy of San Antonio, Texas and Kitty Salinas and her husband Carlos of Spring Branch, Texas, Grandchildren Paula Penshorn, Halsey and Jason Hammond, Willie Williamson, Christina Williamson, Loren Williamson-Dennis, Paul Williamson and 9 great grandchildren and his sister Patsy Williamson Hada of Corpus Christi, TX. Jack is preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia Williamson, and brother, Willie (Billy) Williamson. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at the home of his daughter Sherry Smith at 1 pm on Nov. 11th at 9701 Derecho Blvd. Austin, TX 78737.
