James Everette Jeep Miller Jr.

James Everette Jeep Miller, Jr., 85, of Nederland, died Saturday, April 27, 2013, at his residence in Mauriceville. He was born on October 3, 1927, to Lillie and James Everette Miller, Sr. James was a veteran of the United States Army. After receiving his Masters Degree, he held a variety of different titles throughout his career including Public Educator, Coach, Realtor, and Broker; and also worked for as a Texas State Representative for four years. James was very competitive and known for being his own man. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching television, listening to music, and playing golf. James is survived by his wife, Irene Nelson Buford Miller of Nederland; children, Sandra Lynn Gay and her husband, David, of Livingston and Hal White and his wife, Linda, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren, Andrea Boren, Angella Peveto, Alyson Kirchner, Heather Schluterman, and Bart Taylor White; great-grandchildren, Jacey Weeks, Hunter Boren, Matthew Schluterman, Madison Schluterman, and Remington Taylor White; brothers, Ray Miller of Seabrook, Bobby D. Miller of Burkeville, and Wade Fred Miller and his wife, Annette, of Deer Park; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and great-grandson, Colten Paul Davis. A gathering of Mr. Millers family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Broussards, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Broussards, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland, with a graveside service to begin at 3:00 p.m., at Burkeville City Cemetery, Burkeville, Texas.
