Janet Hale Brewster

Janet Hale Brewster, 68, of Irving, died Friday, November 1, 2013 in an Arlington hospital. She was born November 13, 1944 in Beaumont, Texas the daughter of T. J. and Evelyn Hale. She graduated from South Park High School. Jan was employed by Southwestern Bell and Verizon as an operator and plant assignment clerk. She married Chuck Smith on January 18, 1964. Preceded in death by her parents, a sister Joan Davis, two grand nieces Tabitha Adams and Matlyn Pepper, and her husband Chuck, she is survived by two sons, Charles and wife Tamra Smith and Greg and wife Bobbie Smith; a sister Vicki and husband Richard McCown; brother-in-law Troy Davis; four grandchildren, Courtney Smith, Tyler Smith, Codi Smith, and Trevor Smith; one great grandson, Camden Smith; nieces Debbie Gontarek, Gwen Davis, Joanna Adams; nephews, Kelly Smith, Kevin Smith, and Todd Smith; numerous friends and extended family; and long-time close friend Debbie Groves. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, 606 West Airport Freeway in Irving. A graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2013 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. Rev. James Boykin will officiate.
