John Mauer Graveside services for John Mauer, 78, of Vidor will be held 9:00 AM, Monday, July 1, 2013 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. John retired from Gulf States Utilities after retiring from the US Air Force with 20 years of service. Survivors include his Loving Wife, Barbara Mauer of Vidor; Sons, John William Mauer of San Antonio, Donald Ray Mauer & wife Cindy of Houston, Keith Lee Mauer & wife Kathy of Evadale, Kevin Lee Mauer & wife Robin of Lumberton; Brothers, George Mauer & wife Sandra of Wildwood, Robert Mauer & wife Paulette of Grandberry; Sister in Law, Jackie Mauer of Warren; 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. In Lieu of Flowers please make donations to Harbor Hospice.

Barbara, I will always remember John from our days at GSU many many years ago. He was a great boss, mentor and friend to me. He will be sorely missed. My prayers are with you all, Deb Janis Nelson
