Judy Youens Park

Judy Youens Park,68, of Columbus, Texas passed away at home on 11/4/12. Born on 1/8/44 to Harry Thomas Youens, Sr. and Ruby Ethelda (Green) Youens in Velasco, Texas. On 7/1/67 she married Richard Gale Park, Sr. Judy and Gale owned National Copy Products of Beaumont, where she was alsothe office manager. During this time she had a thriving ceramics studio where she made many memorable pieces for friends and family. Judy turned a hobby into a career when she opened Top Stitch Sewing Center. Upon closing the shops in Beaumont and retiring to Columbus, Judy spent her time sewing, gardening and soap making. Judy served as a past president of Columbus Hospital Auxiliary and a past president of Columbus Garden Club. Judy is survived by her sons, Richard Gale Park, Jr. and wife Sarah of Austin, TX, Spencer Laine Park of San Antonio, TX, and Andrew Thomas Park of Columbus, TX; brothers, H. Tom Youens, M.D. and wife Elaine of Houston, TX, and Robert Willis Youens and wife Deborah of Austin, TX, and granddaughter, Evie Makena Park. She was preceded in death by father, Harry Thomas Youens, Sr., mother, Ruby Ethelda (Green) Youens, and husband, Richard Gale Park, Sr. Visitation will be Thursday, 11/8/12, 5:00 - 7:00 pm & Friday 8:00 - 1:00 pm at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus. Funeral services on Friday, November 9, 2012, 1:00 pm at Henneke Funeral Home, Columbus.
