Loyd Shockley Harold

Harold Loyd Shockley, 87, of Beaumont, died Sunday, October 20, 2013. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, he was born on May 8, 1926, to Naomi Sweeny Shockley and John Thomas Shockley. Harold was a United States Navy veteran, having served in World War II, and was a retired manager with Southern Pacific Railroad. He is survived by his son, John Harold Shockley of Beaumont; daughter, Glenda Robbins and her husband, Garland, of Cypress; and sister, Lila Combs of Beaumont. A gathering of Mr. Shockley's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Broussard's, with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont.
