Westley C. Sheffield

Westley C. Sheffield, 78, of Nederland, died Friday, December 14, 2012, at Nesbit Living and Recovery Center in Sequin. Born April 20, 1934, in Silsbee, Mr. Sheffield was the son of Bessie Gore Sheffield and Quinton Arthur Sheffield. A United States Air Force Veteran and a retiree of DuPont, he also owned Sheffield Mobile Home City. He was a forty year member of Nederland Masonic Lodge 1368. Mr. Sheffield is survived by his daughter, Sharon Birdsong and her husband, Lance; sons, Quinton Sheffield and his wife, Belinda and Arthur Sheffield and his wife, Susan; grandchildren, Devon Birdsong, Bonnie Birdsong, Theron Birdsong, Eldon Birdsong, Justin Sheffield, Tyler Sheffield, Lyssa Sheffield and Preston Sheffield; and sister, Mary Jo Coody. A gathering of Mr. Sheffield's family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening, December 18, 2012, at Broussard's, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Broussard's followed by burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
