Harvey Waldrep Obituary

Funeral services for Harvey Charlton Waldrep, Sr., 87, of Fred will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Waldrep died May 17, 2011, at Brazosport Regional Hospital in Lake Jackson, on his 65th wedding anniversary. Mr. Waldrep was born in Port Arthur and was a longtime resident of Fred. He was a retired supervisor from Shell Oil and proudly served his country in WWII in the US Army. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Margaret Azine Walters Waldrep of Fred; sons, Harvey Waldrep, Jr. and wife, Rhonda of Lake Jackson, Jimmie Waldrep and wife, Gail of Texas City and Gary Waldrep and wife, Colleen of Lake Jackson; brother, Darrel Waldrep of Spurger; sister, Marie True of Oregon; six grandchildren, J J Couey, Christy Swan, Lindsey Waldrep, Amy Waldrep, Monica Waldrep, and Ben Waldrep; three great grandchildren, Aurora Swan, Anthony Swan, and Lexi Couey. The family would like to extend a special thanks to JJ, Carol, and A/Med Hospice for their loving care of Mr. Waldrep.

We always enjoyed the family reunions at their home.There was so much love,kindess and I have to say enjoyment.They always made you feel welcome.This is a great lose to our family,our love and prayers go with Aune Azine and the rest of the family.Mr.&Mrs.Adolph Walters JR.
