Alice Adeline Wilson Johnson, 89, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away at Mid-Jefferson Extended Care Hospital in Nederland on Sunday, August 25, 2013. She was born on November 9, 1923 to Cora Harker Wilson and Ellis D. Wilson in Meeker, Colorado. Alice has been a resident of Port Arthur for 67 years. She worked at DeQueen Elementary School in the cafeteria for many years, worked with Dr. Boyer and also at Nuzest as well as being a homemaker. She was a member of Fourth Avenue Baptist Church, before being a member of First Baptist Church of Port Arthur. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, fishing and even hunted. Alice also enjoyed camping out and being with her family especially at their camp on the Neches river that they had for 47 years. She sewed all the clothes for her family. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with Rev. Kyle Morton, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Benjamin Woodson Johnson and her great grandson, Ethen Lane Bulls. Alice is survived by her daughters, Deborah Bulls and husband Jimmy of Little Cypress, Texas, Diane Faulk and husband Charles of Port Arthur, Texas, her son, Ellis R. Johnson and wife Robbie of May, Texas, her grandchildren, Andrew Johnson and wife Penny, Bryan Johnson and wife Christy, Aliceson Haynes and husband Larry, Matthew Bulls and wife Sharon, Mindy Perez and husband Tony, great grandchildren, Katelyn Haynes, Emily Haynes, Olivia Haynes, Brice Bulls, Ohna Danna, Aidan Johnson, Ciaran Johnson, Kathryn Johnson, Karlee Johnson, Kassidy Johnson and Alexander Lane Perez.
