Anna Belle Bratton, 92, of Kountze, died Sunday, December 9, 2012, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born on April 14, 1920, in Gravely, Arkansas, to Mamie Evelyn Smallwood Billingsley and Joseph Alonzo Billingsley, and had been a longtime resident of Kountze. Anna Belle retired from Rainbo Bakery in Houston following thirty-two years of service. She was a longtime member of Kountze Church of Christ and one of the founding members of S.C.A.T. Survivors include her children, Douglas Edward Bratton and his wife, Sherry, of San Antonio; Billy Joe Bratton and his wife, Bernice, of Spring; James Clarence Bratton and his wife, Barbara, of Kountze; and John Charles Bratton of Shepherd; sisters, Geneva Adams of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, Mary Billingsley of Escondido, California, Betty Boomer of Florence, Oregon, Peggy Royale of Davis, California, Dorothy Heckenbach of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Patricia Ireland of Ashland, Oregon; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. A gathering of Mrs. Bratton's family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Kountze Church of Christ, 1035 North Pine, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard's, 530 West Monroe, Kountze.
