Audrey Lee Chatagnier, 89, of Groves, Texas, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 8, 2012, wife of Raymond D. Buddy Chatagnier, who passed away in 1972. She was born on December 7, 1922, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Myrtle Thibodeaux Wyble and Euwell Wyble. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a homemaker. Audrey was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 10, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary to be prayed at 5:30 p.m., at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2012, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Groves, with Rev. Msgr. Kenneth Greig serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Eva Saulsberry; her son, Kerry Chatagnier; her son-in-law, Kenneth Hilton; and her step-daughter, Patricia Suire. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Hilton of Groves, Texas, Candace Hatchel and husband, Jerry of Port Arthur, Texas; her son, René Chatagnier of Fredericksburg, Texas; eleven grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Marcie Necteoux and husband, Harry of Groves, Texas, June Judice of Groves, Texas; her brother, James Wyble and wife, Mary Lou of Nederland, Texas; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
