Benjamin Lincoln Johnson, 83, passed away March 10, 2013, at his home in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont, Ben was born on March 6, 1930, to Isaac Benjamin and Rachel Lincoln Johnson. An active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church for over fifty years, Ben was always ready to help anyone who was in need. He graduated from Lamar University with a mechanical engineering degree and never lost his love for design and problem solving. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beryl Johnson. Survivors include his daughter, Kathy Meissner and her husband, Philip, of Flower Mound; sons, David Johnson and his wife, Deanne, of Madison, Alabama and Tom Johnson of Beaumont; grandchildren, Robert, Lincoln, and Garrett Meissner, and Nathan and Maddie Johnson; and brother, Warren Johnson and his wife, Pat, of Beaumont. A gathering of Mr. Johnson's family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., in the Cloister at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 680 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, with his memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2013, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. A private family committal service will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.
