Betty Jean (B.J.) Whitten Fink, 79, has gone home to be with her Lord. B.J. was born December 28, 1934 to Robert Edwards and Elizabeth Cook Whitten in Dallas, Texas. She died February 2, 2014, at her home on Lake Amanda in Colmesneil, Texas, surrounded by her family. B.J. is survived by her husband of 51 years Walter, son Jerry Dan Godwin, Jr., daughter Kirsten Hardmant and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Daughter, Kimberly Murdock, passed away in 2006. After graduating from Highland Park High School in 1953, in Dallas, she attended the University of Texas. After dedicating her life to Christ she became a prize-winning artist, author, speaker, song writer, playwrite, chaplain, prayer warrior, encourager and more. Services to celebrate her life will be at First Baptist Church, Woodville, Texas, Saturday, February 8th at 11:00 a.m. Visiting and fellowship at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Widows and Orphans Hope Project.
