Billy Jack Minyard, 74, of Colmesneil passed away June 7, 2012. Born October 27, 1937, in Woodville, Tx to Rev. Jack and Aline Davis Minyard, he lived in Tyler County all of his life. He was retired from the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Colmesneil and an U. S. Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Cullen Minyard. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Thrash Minyard; son, Martin J. Minyard of Kansas; step-sons, Guy Farrow of Vidor and Tim Farrow of Dickinson; sister, Sherry Bailey of Kilgore; brother, Teddy Minyard of Chester; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and long time friends. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m., at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, with burial to follow at Davis Cemetery in Colmesneil. Visitation will be held Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
