1925 - 2015 In celebration of Billy Ray Bill Kirkindall's Life, age 90, of Call there will be a graveside service in Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper, 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2015. Visitation will be 8:30- 9:30 a.m., Monday at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper before the service. Bill died August 7, 2015 at Christus St. Elizabeth hospital in Beaumont from complications of hip surgery. He was a WWII Navy veteran and worked as a Navy Civil Service Budget Analyst for over 30 years in Orange. After retirement he enjoyed farming, hunting, & fishing at his farm in Call. He & his wife Margaret Danny met while both were serving in the U.S. Navy in 1944 in Oakland, CA andwere married September 9, 1945 in Oakland, CA. Bill is survived by his wife Jodie Wright Kirkindall of Beaumont; two sons Arthur Sanford Kirkindall & wife Melissa of Madison, AL & Mark Steven Steve Kirkindall of Dallas; one granddaughter Elizabeth Kirkindall Weaver of Austin, TX. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Kirkindall & Lottie Poole Kirkindall; his wife of 54 years Margaret Danny, July 2000; & two sisters Juanita & Jackye. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Sandy & Melissa Kirkindall, Steve Kirkindall, Brett Weaver, Jack Cooper, Jimmy Delaney & Bill Stark. Memorial may be made to the Nature Conservancy, 4245 North Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203.
